ATI driver problems on a HP NC6000 laptop

I have a HP NC6000 which has a Radeon 9600 mobility.
I installed the ATI drivers from the suse wiki page( one click version)
All went well except i got an popup saying i can't install the driver,
but i did anyway, i think it was the fglx driver.

but i don't have 3d acceleration, yast see's my card as an ATI RV 350n.
EDIT:

ok i did 'su -c 'SaX2 -r -m 0=fglrx' and now yast see's the right card ati 9600 mobility.
But i still don't have 3D acceleration, running fglx_glxgears gives a segmentation fault error, and all he 3d screensavers run slow or not at all.
I don't know what i did wrong, if anything, maybe i'm missing somthing.
