apt problem


when i use apt to update suse,
display "error: unpacking of archive failed: cpio: Bad magic"

how to resovle this?

thanks in advance!

Doesn't SuSE use yast for the package manager?

Yes Suse uses YAST and I think its better to use it to upgrade your system.

Too many people use apt the wrong way to update SUSE.
One common error is to use all the components for a dist-upgrade.
