9.2 personal and installing GCC

Hey alll,

gcc doesnt install in 9.2 personal. whats the story there. this gut has the same problem

please help. how can i install gcc. Every time I try and do it in YAST or re install suse i cant get it to install gcc. god only knows what else is missing off the installation. Is there any place i can download gcc in binary format and install it. im not the best with linux so how would i go about installing it.

Please specify what your exact problem is. SUSE 9.2 Personal doesn't exist. If you are using 9.1 Personal, try the following link: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=266647

You may download gcc from any SUSE FTP server and install it from command line using either the 'rpm -i' or 'yast -i' command, or by clicking the rpm from a GUI (which should open a yast dialog). See here for a list of SUSE FTP servers:

Be sure to download the correct package for version you are using.
