54Help with SUSE 10.0 and Linksys WUSBGv2 network adapter

just to let everyone know I am still very new to SuSE and Linux all together.. I have already installed the latest version of ndiswrapper (1.14) and also tried using the driver off of my linksys cd for my adapter, however it comes up when I type ndiswrapper -l WUSB54Gv2 Invalid Driver

Now I know for a fact that the Linksys WUSB54G and the WUSB54Gv4 work just fine from looking at other posts, however I have the WUSB54Gv2. NOTICE THE Version # 2 after the main card model... I have not seen any posts on this one, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. I just got everything else configured and the last thing left is to get my wireless adapter working.

I also tried downloading the driver right from linksys's website and using that one, the driver installs just fine, but for some reason it comes up with invalid driver... Someone said something about the ndiswrapper.ko file or something but cannot remember now, Any ideas as to why this is happening and possible solutions??? Thanks! Hope to hear soon!!!

I'd check out the ndiswrapper list that I posted a minute ago in this thread:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=437913

If ndiswrapper doesnt like your driver, then first make sure that when you did your ndiswrapper -i <.inf file> that your .sys file was in the same folder.
The ndiswrapper.ko that you're referring to is the kernel module. Thats what lets the kernel recognize ndiswrapper installed devices. Its the last thing you do "modprobe ndiswrapper" and the kernel recognizes ndiswrapper devices. It doesnt do you any good if ndiswrapper reports "invalid driver".

I'd suggest going to XP and device manager, go to the Driver details for the wireless adaptor and then locate that .inf file and corresponding .sys file. XP tends to rename them once they're installed but it'll be in c:\windows\system32\drivers\ somewhere.
