2.6.11 kernel

I need an updated kernel to install some Nvidia drivers. The other day I happened to install 2.6.11 which is required and now on a re-install of my system I can't find it!

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Randy.

I re-installed everything from scratch because I lost a disk drive.

I suppose you didn't compile it yourself (in this case it would be www.kernel.org). I guess you are talking about an experimental kernel-of-the-day package from SUSE. Have a look on the SUSE server in the people folder at mantel or kraxel. Those guys provide the newest kernels.

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mantel...-day/i386/HEAD

EDIT: kraxel seems to be out of the kernel business, but the link above should be OK.

hi there
how did u install your earlier kernel?
yes u need to do this
u need to either get the kernel source from kernel.org and compile urself a new kernel
or get a pre built kernel rpm foir suse 9.2 which u r using from any repository

rpm.pbone.net
u can go to advanced search and search for suse 9.2 rpms
and u can use yast also on suse
but i haven't tried yast on the internet

regards
