Most easy from command line (as root):

Code:

installation_sources -a <url>
A general rule for the URL:
You need to point to the directory that contains the file directory.yast. Otherwise it will not be recognized as YaST source.

I will not start to find you a mirror. Have a look in the sticky threads in this forum.

yast

hello,
thanks for that but i am not a console type, so if anyone else has a way of adding through yast, then go ahead. Please keep it simple, as i am still just about a noob. I have tried synaptic, but it would not work right from the off ! I must admit, i am not that keen on yast2 as you have to be on the ball to add repo`s right from the start...i just want it to be simple for beginers. Many thanks, steve.

Ahh, you want it more complicated, but nice looking! ;)

This was written for an older SUSE version, but is still valid:

Note that "Change Source of Installation" is called "Installation Source" in 10.0.
The exact path depends on the source, so if you need help there, you need to post which source you would like to add.
