YAST/YOU network or command line for multiple machines
Hello,
My "crop" of servers at home has grown to four machines, with a few monre on the way. I use SuSE 10.0 on all of them. My personal laptop is also SuSE 10.0-based, but is an AMD64. At the moment, I usually check the main server each day. When YOU shows that there is a new update, I have to go around to each of the servers and open YOU, select all updates, and install them. Is there any way to make this simpler? Can I manage all of them from one location? Can I use YOU from the command line, and just write scripts to do it? Or, can I save all of the update sources to a central server, and then RPM -U them from the other machines? |
Yes, you can use one server as a repository. Then set up automatic (or manual) updates on the others using the repository server as the installation source.
