Yast GUI missing in Gnome following KDE 3.5 upgrade

It's not a great problem because I can still use yast via the command window just fine, but if I try to open a yast gui in Gnome I complete the root password in the box and then nothing. The box disappears and literally nothing happens.
This happens whether I chose the main yast gui or just ,say , the clock's adjust date/time dialogue.
I guess it's something that's been removed/upgraded/installed that's caused this.

regards,

You can look into the repositories, by install/remove software, and look in search for yast.
When you look around you will find the missing part very easy I guess....
These things happen every once in a while...
