yast fails to update system, tells me to add repos (while they already are)

hey

just like the subject, its a fresh openSUSE 10.3 install. i installed & configured suse like 2 months ago and i never had any problem with repos.

okay, so heres what i did / i am doing / i want to do:

right after installing i ran yast2, selected the option where you configure repos etc.. since only my opensuse dvd was in there (i removed that one anyway) and added ('specify url' way) three repos: oss, non-oss, updates (i found the links @ http://en.opensuse.org/Package_Repositories )

so far so good, yast downloads some data for each of those, package lists etc with no errors at all.

so then i click the openSUSE updater icon (right next to the clock; kde) which looks like a big question mark at that time.. i select the check for updates option but it fails after a while, popping me a msgbox saying 'add repos blablabla'

awww come on.. i dont have time for this!

has anyone ANY idea wth is going on around here? O.o

How about just removing the repos you already configured and starting from scratch. You can then add them again by going to YAST -> Software -> Community Repositories. At a minimum, I suggest you setup the main oss, non-oss and main updates.

I found I had to do the first update from yast (online Update) after that the icon worked just fine.
