Xine problem in amarok

Hi,
When I select the xine engine in amarok it says that it can't initialize my sound card driver.
Though kaffeine, that uses xine, works like a charm.
I'm using alsa drivers compiled as module.
Also I uninstalled the suse version of xine and installed another from synaptic.
Any ideas ?

I had the same problem. Xine engine in amarok stopped working all of a sudden one day. The solution - I restored backup of my home directory, and everything came back to normal (which means it's a probably some wicked config problem, at least in my case it was).

Just delete ~/.xine directory. Works for me.
