X window name OpenSuse live kde

I hate to ask such a simple question but I thought that echo $DISPLAY in opensuse terminal ought to display something other then :0. Should say displayname:0.0 or some such name like hostname.

I thought that in yast etc editor I could edit that but I can't seem to where to set it. Display has three drop down choices none of which seem right.

export DISPLAY=hostname:0 does work but not across a reboot. I guess I could put in a script.

OK, I'll answer my question.

For some odd reason (to me at least) when I used yast to set hostname I failed to observe that terminal keep telling me that it was user@linux-xyz instead of user@correcthostname.

So I edited /etc/hostname and poof it works correctly.
