Wireless Slow.. possible DNS .. ipv6 disabled
So.. My wireless is slow..
If I ping google.com it takes a while to get the first 2 responses.. and once I do.. it seems ok..
If I ping the IP of google.com it replies quickly.. as it should..
Now, I have disabled ipv6 (or I believe I have..) by running the commands below:
echo "alias net-pf-10 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf
echo "alias ipv6 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf
Here is an output of a few commands
bkevan@LSSLED01007250:~> cat /etc/modprobe.conf | grep ipv
alias sit0 ipv6
alias net-pf-10 ipv6
alias ipv6 off
bkevan@LSSLED01007250:~> cat /etc/modprobe.conf | grep net-pf-10
alias net-pf-10 ipv6
# install net-pf-10 /bin/true
alias net-pf-10 off
Should I comment out the following lines:
alias net-pf-10 ipv6
alias sit0 ipv6
? Can anyone give me a pointer? Thanks.
Update: I have commented out alias net-pf-10 ipv6
But I have not touched the sit0 line.
