Wireless Problem in my Toshiba Satellite M30

Hi All,

I hope someone can solve my problems and tell me what the problems actually. My laptop is Toshiba Satellite M30 S731. I just changed my distro from Mandriva 2006 to Suse 10.1. I just want to try Suse and I think I like it because Suse 10.1 is excellent, can detect my graphic card, fnfx, and the power management for the centrino processeor is very well but not for my centrino wireless.

I am trying to connect my router (SpeedTouch Alcatel 500 series)which has an encryption key. It does detect my network and ask for WEP passphrase, after I input the passphrase, the Activation KNetworkManager stuck when in "Activation stage: IP configuration started". As a result, failed to connect.

In the console, I typed some commands and found these messages:

I realize one thing on this message:
"ieee80211_crypt_wep: module not supported by Novell, setting U taint flag."

is this mean that to connect to the access point which has WEP key is not supported by Novell ??
Then anyone can help me how to solve this..?

Because actually the wireless has ever worked in my campus, there is no need WEP, I just turn on wireless, connect to my campus wireless network, then I got my dhcp IP address. To get access to the network, it needs to create a vpn connection...

a question again, how to create a vpn connection in linux ??
