Wireless - Linksys No gold Orinoco Gold YES
There seems to be a problem with the Linksys embedded kernel Driver which you can't (or at least I don't know how to do it). With the common WPC45G cards you get SIOCSIFFLAGS error and it tries to load driver BCM****
The card I had uses the LSBCM* driver - can't remember the specific numbers and it always worked with ndiswrapper.
If tou use NDISWRAPPER you'll get the mnessage lsbcmb** driver loaded but card has alternate BCM** driver and it won't work --so you are doubly screwed as the Hardware detection method fails as well as ndiswrapper as you can't disable the incorrect driver.
Now the good news is that the old trusty Lucent Technologies Orinoco Gold Card (the fat 5V model --Old version) works perfectly out of the box).
This card is only 11 mbs not 54 mbs but that's usually fast enough when I'm using the laptop on the Road. You'll need to ensure your wireless router handles both 802b and 802g.
At home I generally use a Wired connection.
Hopefully the Kernel should be fixed in the future but if you've got the Orinoco card lying around just use that one.
That Orinoco card has always worked on ANY version of SUSE I've used.
Cheers
