Where to find libraries for vlc media player on Suse10.1?
I have not had this much trouble getting VLC up and running on any other distro, some it is even pre-installed. I don't know where to start there was such a long list of failed dependencies. Is there a certain website where I can get all of these or do I have to find each individual one?:

I heard that SuSE can use the apt-get command from Debian. If this is true, you can just apt-get vlc, correct?
Are you building from source? You might check out that Pakman respositories and add it to your SuSE update. Then, you can search for VLC and install it from there.
Your installation woes are exactly why I left SuSE and switched to Ubuntu. Good luck!
I tried the apt-get command last night and no dice, how do I enable this? And know I'm not building from source, not that knowledgeable yet. I have figured out alot in linux in a short period of time though and I'v never encountered this extensive of a list of libraries which must be included separately. So I'v been to this pac-man site you speak of already, I just go and paste the URL into repository locations right? Then will it automatically find these libraries because I didn't see them? Are these libraries having something to do with xine?
