What is the recommended procedure to compile 2.6.18 in Suse 10.0?
I would like to know if there is a "polite" way to compile a new kernel (2.6.18) within Suse Linux 10.0 (similar to how compiling kernels in Debian requires the use of kpkg-build et al.). This kernel is too new to be available via Yast but I require this kernel for WPA support for my TEW-424UB (Zydas chipset) wireless USB card. The latest SuSE 10.0 kernel (2.6.13-15) does not have this support.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |
/usr/share/doc/manual/suselinux-adminguide_en/html/index.html, chapter 9 covers compiling the kernel.
