Hi
I am running SuSE 10.0 and though I am always having problems,I usually fix them(eventually),but these two are dragging their heels.

1.WEBCAMS
The webcam works fine,it is a creative cam running a gspca driver,and with new kopete I have a great oportunity to use it.Only I cant.I see my friends webcam fine(so jasper must be installed properly)but all they see from me is a black screen!
Is this a firewall issue.I am running susefirewall2,would guardog be better?
I really don't want to spend hours in front of ip table(mostly because I don't know what to do with them ).My webcam stream must reach my friends as they get an invitation but a black screen is all they get(lucky them!).

2.scanners
Bearpaw1200 to be precise.Got the sane drivers.Installed the Kooka and xsane frontends the first scan is good.Great in fact!!But every scan after that is high contrast too bright and the colours are all wrong,and it will not configure out.
Kooka will only scan properly on the first preview scan and after that it is really unusable.
Xsane's first scan only captures a small part of the target (top right) in and acceptable quality but after that it is all downhill.Same as above,high contrast etc.


Any help on these two issues would be appreciated as soon I am going to go mad!

PS
One other thing....cant hear streamed music on the radio anymore in firefox.
All the plugins are in the right files soft links all up and working NO SOUND!
Used to work fine!
Any ideas?
