Hi,
I have installed the Suse10.1 on the following machine. XServer is started and my default desktop is GNome.
I want to enable the 3d xgl desktop. I have the following configuration of my machine and want to know whether any body running the XGL sucessfully on the following mother boards or steps to do that.


AMD 64 with MSI motherboard having following integrated graphics chip
VIA K8M800 chipset.

Also the direct rendering returned to me was "no"

Help will be appreciated as I don't want to switch back to windows any more

You're giving us the motherboard chipset, but what we really need is the actual integrated graphics chip brand and model.

I am not sure that your card has a 3D enabled Linux driver. You should get a better AGP or better yet PCIe graphics card if you want to run XGL properly.
