Viewing HTML Source in OpenOffice pre 2.0

In MS Word I have always been able to create a regular document, save it as HTML then view the HTML source code. This is especially helpful when putting item on eBay for auction. I cannot seem to find where to do this in OpenOffice pre-2.0 that is supplied with SuSe 9.3 Pro. A review of the help file searching for HTML and View did not offer any insight. Does someone in here know how to do this? Thanks!
