USB Modem detected, cannot dial out problem
Hi Guys, I've got a USB modem. I just got Novel Desktop Edition today. I wen't through yast to the network devices, modem section. There I saw my modem called 'Thompson Microelectronics 56k SoftModem' in the list. I clicked on 'Configure', then entered my ISP details. KConnect was then launced on the 'task bar' at the bottom of the screen. When I clicked on it, it could not create a connection. When I look at the logs, it's almost as if it cannot see the modem. 'Cannot connect to device' Exit code 17?
Anybody have any ideas how to fix this problem? I'm still new to linux. Any help please? Cheers, Martin |
