supplementary KDE 3.5 update
(
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/linux/suse/ftp.sus....0/yast-source)
In Ubuntu when I upgraded to KDE 3.5, everything was fine, except the "KDE KIcker crashed" every time I logged of KDE, making it difficult to leave the computer on with auto shut down (since you had to click on "OK" for that).
Apart from that, Amarok, klipper and KDE programs that use the status bar didn't worked ok in Gnome (instead of docking themselves to the status bar, they were icons on the desktop, like small windows)
I have the impression that in SuSE the upgrades are much more stable, I upgrade a 9.2 to KDE 3.4 and it worked incredibly good.
For me Ubuntu is a very very nice distro but if you want to upgrade KDE or something like that then it's not that good.
Apart from that I do not like the Ubuntu and Kubuntu distros, they should all be one distro. I don't mind to see two distros with different desktops, but I hate the idea of having different forums for Ubuntu and Kubuntu
