I still think it would be better if you would post more than just a link. A summary of steps to take perhaps? Otherwise the only thing your post does is draw attention away from LQ. I hope you understand that point of view.

I am not planning on stealing people away, it's just the point that it is complicated for me to write the steps. What would be the point of adding the "Insert link" if I can not use it to post videos. If i could embed the videos, then I would do that, but I do not know how to do it and you guys don't seem to have a option for that.

Hi there

Youtube etc videos are NOT the easiest way to demo stuff

A better link is http://forums.opensuse.org/showthrea...-OpenSUSE-13-1

Problems with Youtube or Video tutorials in general is that a) you have to work at the lecturers speed
b) sound is often strange - especially if English is not their Native Language
c) you can't write notes etc.

The Link I've given - you can go as slow (or as fast) as you like, go backwards and forwards and print and make notes.

I think VIDEO demos DO have a place but they are grossly overused.

Incidentally people might be interested in running OPENSUSE totally from an external device starting VMware and bringing up a Windows Virtual Machine -- all from an external device - makes a useful portable Linux AND WINDOWS system. !!

Cheers

YouTube is a waste of time for tutorials. Screen shots and step-by-step directions are much more useful, especially since they can be printed out for reference and note-taking.

Why do I need a YouTube video of someone following the steps that are published from the OpenSUSE web site?
