To upgrade Suse 9.1 to KDE 3.4, How to do it with a external hardrive


This was found at a mailing list I sucribed to and could benefit anybody
but I want to update my KDE 3.2 to 3.4 on my Maxtor 120 GB Hardrive.

Try it the same way, but download the directory structure below 'yast-source' on your local HDD. Then point the installation source to this directory (Change Source of Installation -> Add -> Local Directory or CD) and run YaST -> Install and Remove Software. I have never done this myself, but it should work.

Sorry, I thought that was a question, because on that link is a tutorial for online update. I do not intend to try this (I have a very good online connection).
