thunderbird won't work with suse 10.1: "symbol lookup error"

Just upgraded from 10.0 to 10.1. Everything seems to be ok except for thunderbird that doesn't work. I get this error message:
/usr/lib64/thunderbird/thunderbird-bin: symbol lookup error: /opt/gnome/lib64/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_object_compat_control

Any ideas how to fix this will be much apprecieated!
