SuSE SLED + Vista

Hi there,

I have installed Windows XP and then SuSE SLED 10 on the same harddisk with different partitions. Now, I would likt to try the new Windows Vista System, how is it possible to install Windows Vista to the partition that Windows XP is installed and still make the GRUB working.

Thanks in advance,

I am not sure about the boot loader of Windows Vista but you could use a third party MBR boot loader like Smart Boot Loader to boot up from both Vista's loader and GRUB. Install GRUB on SLED's /boot folder which will be flagged by the MBR boot loader to boot to Linux and similar for Vista.

In Windows XP the method was a little easier, all you had to do was install XP which loads NTLDR; then you pop in the Linux CD/DVD, boot from it and install grub.
