suse resizing abilities

i have a drive(F which has plenty of free space (around 60). windows is not installed on this drive, it is installed on another drive (C but there is still data on my other drive(F.can suse resize F: so that that linux installs on the remaining free 60 gigs on F: but still keep th data that I allready have?

I just defragmented F: so it isn't fragmented at all.

Thanks

Yes

No problem! Simply start the installation and when it comes to partitioning, do the resize (maybe Yast suggests this automatically, but cross-check first, otherwise SUSE will shrink your system partition).

Does it not depend upon the FS on F? Can it still do this with NTFS?

The Yast installer has NTFS resizing capability (parted). I am not sure about FAT, but assume that also.
