SUSE on new Mac Intel machine

I wonder if anybody has done this yet. In theory it should be doable.

Sorry for referring to Windows on a 'Nix forum but some people have got Windows XP to work so it should be possible to run 'Nix on the MAC (great if it could work --love a Triple boot Windows, SUSE and MAC OS).

Anyway here's how they made Windows run on it so perhaps someone could try with SUSE.

Gentoo and Knoppix were the first non MAC OSes to boot off the Mactel (take a look here and here). I am sure Suse will work too once the technique for booting Linux on the MAC has been perfected.

Yep the thing is possible.

Ok Suse now offers i386/x86_64/ and ppc kernels.

So in theory they should compile a different kernel (iPPC?) with all those drivers and tricks already discovered.
I guess also every rpm-package should be rebuilt to new (iPPC)rpm.

The biggest problem is mainly in the new EFI system so Grub also need improvements.

Then again, those new beasts use ATI graphics cards so ...
