SuSE 9.3 installation problem

I have installed SuSE 9.3 successfully on my desktop. However, when I try to install it on my laptop (ECS 732 Notebook with 30Gb 2.5" ATA100 Harddrive) it will not recognise the hard drive, which is weird, as I am currently running SuSE 9.0 - which has it as a FUTITSU MHT2030AT ATA DISK Drive.

SuSE 9.3 does not recognise the ATA hard drive on the laptop in either installation or upgrade, which effectively thwarts any installation.

I would be grateful for assistance.

Can you figure out which driver is used for the IDE controller in 9.0? If so, try to run a manual installation and load the driver manually.

If you switch to a console (Ctrl+Alt+F1/F10), do you see error messages?
