Exclamation Suse 9.3 install ati radeon 9600 drivers

I just installed Suse 9.3 and think it's the best distro i've ever used. The only thing it hasn't done for me already is configure my Radeon 9600 AGP card to work with 3-d acceleration. I've been searching around the forums and can't find any conclusive, non-risk solution to my problem. If anyone's had success with Suse 9.3 and the ATI drivers, please post instructions.

check out my new post, there is two ways of doing it, you can use the suse ati drivers from there ftp server or you can do it this way. i never had too much luck with there default kernel and drivers.
