SUSE 9.3 64 bit or 32 bit?

Is there any way to upgrade a 32 bit system(suse 9.3) to an 64 bit system using either YAST or apt-get. The problem is this; I have SUSE 9.3 Pro set up just the way I like it, but it is with 32 bit packages and I have a 64 bit system. I cannot download the SUSE DVD with the 64 bit packages, so I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this? Also on another note, should I as a desktop user, working mostly with graphics see any improvements with the 64 bit packages? In other words should I bother to use 64 bit packages?

if you've got everything just right I wouldn't bother trying to move to 64 bit

Donīt I get better performance out of my computer?

No not really. Plus there are a few things that don't work with 64 bit systems.

No it's not true and with graphics provided an application is written for a 64 bit processor.

If you bought a 64 bit processor why wait in the backlane?

More app's will take advantage of the code and speed as time goes by.

Many things don't work in the 32 bit arena that is no reason not to run in 64 bit mode when your app is designed to make use of the coding advantages.
