Suse 9.3 -> 10.0 Double mounting issues

I've recently upgraded my computer from Suse 9.3 to 10.0 (oss) and everything is working very well, except for mounting devices.

Anytime I put a CD/DVD in, plug my firewire drive or usb-stick in it gets mounted twice!
It only appears to work correctly if I unmount both mounts and remount it manually.

Does anyone have an idea of the problem, or can point my in the direction I should be investigating?

How did you upgrade? Did you keep the settings in /etc or did you run a clean installation? Maybe there are some redundant settings left over from the previous installation. This is why I recommend clean installations. Have a look at /etc/fstab and the hotplug scripts. Can't be more specific, sorry.

I did the install over the top of the 9.3 install, which is where I'm guessing the issues are arising. I've been doing the same since 9.0 with no problems before.
The fstab file only has a single extra line, which I tried removing, but it had no effect.
Not sure what I should be looking for in the hotplug scripts...
