I just said okay and uninstalled any package that was giving an issue.(not removing the referring package, but the one already installed.) Then upon restarting YAST, it will install the new files with no errors and you will have KDE 3.5 in no time.

I upgraded to KDE 3.5 with no conflicts or any error messages by doing it this way.

Add these installation sources:

(http)packman.rsync.zmi.at/suse/10.0
(ftp)mirrors.kernel.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source-java
(ftp)mirrors.kernel.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source
(ftp)mirrors.kernel.org/suse/i386/10.0/SUSE-Linux10.0-GM-Extra

Get your KDE 3.5 sources from here?

(ftp)
ftp.gwdg.de

pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/
update_for_10.0/yast-source/

Make sure in installation sources that REFRESH is enabled and the CD # sources are disabled.

That was an old problem that should have been fixed, do a refresh of your repository and the python packages and python-qt should both be @ 3.5.0-12
