Suse 10 CDDB Retreival not working in any application

I have found screen prints showing a 'CDDB Retrieval' tab in KDE Control center within Sound and Multimedia; I do not have this tab on my machine. I am able to rip audio CDs and encode to MP3 using the Konqueror feature, but I am not getting any ID3 metadata, the files are not being named properly, and there are not artist/album folders created.

I am able to listen to MP3s, but I cannot listen to CDs. I recently upgraded to Suse 10 from 9.3. The upgrade clearly introduced more problems than solved. Any ideas?

I meant to add that grip is the only application where CDDB retrieval works correctly
