Haven't tried a Slack distro for a very, very, very long time. In fact it was around 1994 when I first tried Slack on my PC.
I'll give it a go - seeing that I have DeMuDi already installed and running nicely on my second hard disk I can affored to have a play with other distros. I've tried Gentoo and didn't mind it at all.
The reason I wanted to stick with SUSE is that I have been using it on and off again since version 8. But I'll give Slack a go!
Cheers!
