Suse 10.0 Display Problem

I just installed Suse Linux a few days ago, and its great. However, I am having the a problem with my display... when I boot my computer and the Suse splash screen comes up everything is fine, but after it logs in and loads the desktop my screen seems "shakey" on the lower left and moves around a little bit. Any advice would be great.

Video card -
NVidia Geforce FX 5200

Monitor-
ViewSonic A70F

Under SaX2 I have 1280x1024 (SXGA) as my resolution and 16.7 Mio. [24 bit] colors as my color setting. I also have Activate 3D Acceleration checked.

You may want to check out the settings in Sax2 via System > Configuration.
I've got an ATI card and Viewsonic A70 also and had a similar problem and had to manually configure the monitor. I dont think our old viewsonic monitors work well w/ it. You may have to just use VESA display and pick your resolution and refresh rate, then just make sure your max X and Y resolution is correct by using the stats from viewsonic.com
I was able to get my monitor working well just not as "full screen" as Windows.

What you can do is go into sax2. Then click on <change> to change the monitor, then click the <Sync Frequencies> tab. Here you'll want to adjust the KHz an Hz settings.

READ THE MANUAL!!!
Don't put in the wrong settings or you may damage your monitor.

Once you know what to put in, click ok until your given the option to test your settings. Test and see if it stops shaking. On some monitors, your going to have to adjust the settings just a little different from what the manual says to get it right.
