Sudden shutdown on the login screen on OpenSuse 10.3

Hi everyone,

Thanx for this great forum.

I just upgraded my OpenSUSE 10.2 64 to 10.3 64 but I made fresh installtion for the root partition and lept my home partition.

Installation went OK..but whenever I boot it and on the login screen it suddenly shuts the computer down before I even have the chance to login.

I used failsafe and logged in with my user and then startx and it is working. So I thought maybe it is nVidia driver problem so I installed the nVidia driver and tried again but without success. It shuts down on the login screen again. So now I'm using the failsafe boot.

Thank you in advance for your help.

PS:
I just noticed something..whenever I adjust the time the screen goes black for about 5 seconds and then comes back. I hope this helps.

Computer Configuration:
AMD64X2 3800+, MSI mainboard with integrated nvidia 6100 graphics card, Seagate SATA 300GB and 1GB of RAM

Is there some error message in the Xorg log? You can try
Code:

grep EE Xorg.0.log
grep EE Xorg.0.log.old

Keep in mind these logs are updated at every boot and the older one is put as a backup in Xorg.0.log.old and cycled.
