SSL Certificates

Our SSL certificate has expired and my predecessor has convieniently misplaced his password to renew the cert. I have searched and tried to implement a new ssl cert but I have no idea which cert our SUSE 9 Enterprise system uses. This sounds kinda of bizarre but I replaced our Sendmail system and installed postfix thinking the SSL expriation warnings would cease but they are still there. I have not configured Postfix to use SSL yet(Employees here use Outlook for their mail client and that is where you are told via prompt that the SSL cert is invalid because it is beyond the timestamp)

I just have no idea where to look in the system to renew or remove this SSL cert.

I solved it, I knew the cert had to be in /etc/ssl/cert. So I started playing around moving the zillion certs the old admin had in there and I eventually found one that made Outlook not work.

So I just replaced it with a new ipop3d cert.

This is why the server gods make you do documentation.
