When im surfing the Web, i can hear all the multimedia sounds (espn.com, mtv.com,flashplayer,etc)through the Firefox Browser.
But if i were to open Amoroke, or Kaffiene, or Totem, etc and play a video, or mp3(whatever), that i already have saved on my harddrive,
then it "breaks" my sound in the Firefox Browser. i get no more sounds. it still plays. i can still see everything, but no more sound.
i have to log out. then log back in, and then the sounds works again within the Web Browser... but only until i play an mp3/video on my harddrive with kaffiene, etc...
like i said, when i have Firefox open, i can see & hear all th multimedia stuff (espn.com, mtv.com, etc)
as soon as i open Kaffiene, totoem, or any othr program that also uses sound,
then my sound goes away from inside Firefox.
So, basically, its like i can only have sound in one application or the other.
So if i close Totem (or whatvere) and try to play multimedia in Firefox again, i still get nothing.
So i have to log out, and then log back in. and THEN, i will have sound again when i open Firefox.
That was my problem.
But i JUST found out if i close FIREFOX again, and then Open Firefox back up, THEN the sound is back. So, no Logout is required. I just have to close Firefox, and then Reopen it to reinitialize the Sound, i guess.
Confused? Probably.
But i am posting this anyway just in case it ever helps anyone else.
