SLES 10 txqueuelen issue

I'm using SLES 10 and am utilizing high speed transfers on a 100mbit network. I have a DELL server with two onboard e1000 adapters. Both run the e1000 module. Both interfaces are hard set speed/duplex using ethtool. For eth0 it is set to 100/full, and eth1 is set to 1000/full.
Whenever yast is used to change the interfaces, or upon system boot, the eth0 interface comes up with a txqueuelen of 100. The gigabit enabled adpater comes up with a txqueuelen of 1000. Would anyone know where this value of 100 might be getting picked up when the interface starts?
This is the driver being used
driver: e1000
version: 7.0.33-NAPI
firmware-version: N/A
bus-info: 0000:06:07.0

thanks for any help with this, it is very annoying! I never had this problem with this same server using SLES 9, and this problem is really got me confused.

I downgraded the module to 6.3.29 and the problem went away. Does anyone else have any opinions on this issue and how it can be resolved for the new module? - thanks
