Sharing with XP weirdness

Hello, I am a linux newbie. So I am using Suse 10.0, I went into YAST and went to the Samba server config. I started up the server, and left everything else defaulted except the workgroup name. I changed that to MSHOME, which is what my xp box is on. now on my xp box I see the folders. I double click to open it and it asks for a username and password. I enter my username and password for the main account, and click ok. Then what happens is the box goes away, and then the dialog comes back. My password is in there already, but in the username field is BIG(the name of my xp box)\Joe(my username that I tried to use to get to the files, and my login on here). Did I do something wrong?

I don't know about how 10.0 works, but I do know that sharing problems usually lie in firewall issues.

Make sure that the folder you are trying to access is shared. On mine, it brings up the password dialog box only when I try to access a folder that is not shared. Change the permissions on the folder to allow anyone to read it and you should not see the password dialog box.
