You would need to be a little more specific. How do you want to "share" these files, or in other words, what protocol do you want to use? Are you transferring files with Windows systems or with Linux/Unix systems?

Then you'll probably want to set up a samba server on your linux machine.

I don't know exactly which packages you need to install in Suse, but they will probably be: samba, smbfs, samba-common. (Somebody using Suse will need to verify it)

Here is a guide how to set it up then. You might also want to google some Suse-specific tutorials.

For Suse go to Yast and find the Samba-Server icon. It will ask you a few questions for configuration and load the approapriate software (packages).
This will also determine the level of access for others.

In Yast there is also a module about Windows-Domains. Try this to help getting access to other servers.

(packages). I dont know about fedora, but if you dont have yast - after installation you configure it with a file called smb.conf. Install the samba packages and learn about smb.conf.

Apologies for the vague guidance but I fought these battles years ago and can't remember now.

Both Gnome and KDE have "right-click --> share" facilities in openSUSE. Here's how to configure those facilities:
HowTo Make Simple on-the-fly Samba Shares with Konqueror, Dolphin or Nautilus

It's likely the necessary packages/RPMs were installed by default. But you might check those and a general intro to Samba here: A Suse/openSUSE/Windows Network Primer
