Setting up extended desktop in Suse 10.1 with ATI Rage Mobility?

Hey guys, as you may know - I am extremely new with linux.

I would like to set it up so my laptop is the main screen and make an extended desktop with my CRT monitor.

I looked at the laptop info, it has an ATI Rage Mobility card. I figured there would be some easy option somewhere to enable this, but I am probably wrong.
