SELINUX or ls -Z..no control of Apache
 

Ok, i'm getting really fed up with Suse in terms of using it to host a site.

I feel like I have zero control over the matter, like I'm using a nintendo and not linux.



I want to be able to change the security descriptors on the files. Can't do that. Can't even ls -Z because I need SELINUX built into the kernel. When I go to Yast (what a lovely application) and search for selinux, it says all selinux installs are actually installed...soem lib*** file. this is the same file Novell says will make the kernel have selinux installed.

What i'm doin':
I've created a virtual host file, which loads fine. But in that virtual host.conf file I want to control where my Access logs and Error logs are stored.

I can do this, but only if I store them in /var/log/apache2/whatever_i_name_the_log_file

Now in fedora I'd have to change the security desriptors on the directiores where I wanted to have my new log location with chcon -t -h httpd_sys_somethin....._t

Is there any way I can get control of this?
