sax2 not working

Isn't the blueish square in sax2 supposed to represent the area where the desktop is shown?
Why doesn't it move/grow in size when I press the buttons in sax2? Any ideas?

At first I forgot to select the correct monitor model for linux and after trying to get the desktop to fill the screen and installing nvidia drivers it didn't do any good. I don't know if it would've helped because I haven't had this problem before.

Why do I have this problem in suse 10.0 and 10.1 but not in 9.2 or 9.3? The desktop is too small(not filling the screen) and not centered.

By the way, is it because of fear of law suits that with suse you can't play even mpg without installing additional packages?

Maybe I should check ubuntu or kubuntu?

I had exactly the same problems in both 10.0 and 10.1. I solved them by removing sax altogether so that it took my configuration from /etc/X11/xorg.conf (though, of course there's no ui to configure it).
