Removing safely Suse Linux 9.3

I have two hard disk drives:

Maxtor 7 B300 SO or (D0)
HDS72808 OPLAT20 or (D1)

I initially installed Windows XP on (D0) and Suse Linux 9.3 on (D1).
When I wished to change from one operating system, I would do it through the CMOS Setup Utility changing the Boot Device settings there. The default settings were:

1st Boot Device: SATA150 TX2plus (D0) { for Windows XP }
2nd Boot Device: SATA150 TX2plus (D1) { for Suse Linux 9.3 }
3rd Boot Device: Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1202

Later on I installed Suse Linux 10.0 using the New Installation option, and it appears to have been placed on (D0) while Suse Linux 9.3 continues to be on (D1).

I do not know how I can remove safely Suse Linux 9.3 so that I can recover the second disk drive storage space (D1) for another use.

Is there any way of doing this?

I don't see any problem if you simply format the second drive. The bootloader should be installed on your first drive anyway. However, you should check if the bootloader setting points to the new 10.0 installation and not to anything on the second drive.
