Remote Windows access Linux USB disk

I've got a NTFS formatted external USB disk attached to a SUSE 10.2 system.

Via SAMBA I can access this disk using a remote Windows system but can only get READ access to the disk (NTFS file system).

I can also access this disk locally from the Linux system it's connected to but also Read only.

Do I have to convert the file system to FAT32 or is there some type of NTFS READ / WRITE availabilty.

Firing up a Windows Virtual machine on the Remote Linux doesn't seem to help as the Virtual Machine doesn't see the USB disk

Cheers

If I understand correctly, the USB disk is mounted as read only?

Newer kernels have NTFS read/write abilities. The USB drive needs to be mounted read/write to be written to across the network.
