Problem trying to update KDE to 3.4

I'm having a huge problem trying to update KDE to 3.4 from Suse 9.2 and was hoping that someone could help.

I'm following the guide here:
http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/11504.html
which seems pretty idiot-proof
In the above guide,I've sucessfully added the ftp mirrors:

mirror.mcs.anl.gov//pub/suse/i386/9.2/
and
mirror.mcs.anl.gov/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.2/yast-source

However, when I then start the update, by going to add/remove, selecting all installed packages (zzz all) and then 'all in this list' then 'update if newer versions are available', it starts updating the first couple of packages, then it will stop and say something like :
'the following package was not found on this medium'. I get the options of 'ignore', 'abort' and 'try again'. If I then hit 'ignore' the thing just freezes and stops downloading any more packages updates. I then have to reboot since I can't seem to get out of the YAST add/remove screen.

I've tried trying to add more instalation sources to YAST, but I've gone through the list of mirrors here:
http://www.novell.com/products/linux...t_mirrors.html
but i can't seem to get any more to add to Yast. Afer a while I get a mesage saying 'ERROR could not add' or something similar.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks
Lud

In the case you added the supplementary sources previously (not directly prior to the update), you may need to 'refresh' the sources. The content on the server might has been changed, so you need to update your local list of packages (Change Source of Installation -> Edit -> Refresh)

thanks.
I'll give it a go.
However, I only added the sources in the last hour or so.

Hmmm, strange!

There is something suspicious about the first source: the double slash (//). This happens if you start the directory with a /. But usually YaST doesn't accept it as a source then.

Can you specify the package that delivers the error?

Hi abisko00,

Thanks for your thoughts.
I think the only way I can specify the package is to disable all except one package, run the update and see if that turns up the errors.

Maybe you can find it in ~/.y2log or /var/log/YaST2/y2log

Just to update the situation:
I managed to install KDE 3.4.

What I found to be the problem, was that some of the mirrors weren't working or were very slow. So I found one in New York that seemed to be ok, and disabled all the others . That seemed to do the trick.

thanks for you help
