Can any one suggest me how to run an application, developed on power builder, i am planing to migrate some of my desktops on Novell Suse linux 10.0 but main hurdle is that i could not find any way to run legacy application on linux system, however,i have tried middleware terminal services but it is an expensive solution objective of migration is to save money of my company which can not be achieved by using terminal services as CAL licensing is also expensive, pleas help me in this regard this is urgent and important.

The usual question would be. Have you tried any of the Windows emulators? Depends on the complexity of the app and if it uses pluggins or other special features of interfacing with Windows as to how well that may work - although there are some pretty hefty windows apps running in emulators these days.

Powerbuilder is a fantastic IDE and havent seen anything that could replace it's development prowess.

Powerbuilder also has the ability to be created into a .Net app that may work in Mono? I have never used the Jaguar component of Powerbuilder

Sybase does have expense options that may work but I dont think this is what you are looking for.
