Oracle buying SUSE?

Hello all, I am here in class right now and my instructor just said that Oracle is buying SUSE from Novell... does anyone have any information on this. I know Oracle has baught SUN and is closing the source back up to Solaris. I am an openSUSE user and would be very upset by this news if it is true.

Thanks AlucardZero but after I showed my instuctor that link you showed me he revised his statment. He is now saying VMware is buying SUSE. After Googling this I have found a few things saying that it MAY happen. Does anyone have any additional info on this and how might this change the openSUSE community?

Well I don't know if VMware is truly going to buy Novell or not. I have been looking online and reading all I could come across and nothing is saying it will be a "for sure" deal. I found this article that was written on Sep 16th, 2010 called "Five Reasons VMware May Buy Novell SUSE Linux"... after reading this I think it might be a really good thing for SUSE Linux but I still worry about openSUSE. I don't want what happened to openSolaris to happen to openSUSE!
