OpenSuse.org
It's been a while since I last posted here. Sort of got out of using Linux for a bit, but as usual, the bug is biting. I'll probably give it another try when SUSE 10 is released.
But I wanted to post a question here and ask if anyone has gotten the news about OpenSuse.org? I just got a message about it this morning. If I read right, through this site, we'll be able to download SUSE 10.0 as soon as it's available. As it stands, you can get SUSE 10 Beta 1 right now. Web site, in case you haven't figured it out by now, is http://www.opensuse.org. That is all. |
I was wondering, out of interest, whats the main difference between SuSE 9.3 pro and OpenSuSE, other than the name and newer version? (:
The Slashdot announcement for it talked about how Novell has opensourced SuSE as OpenSuSE, but how can an opensource distro be opensourced? Im a tad confused on the subject.. Anyone here better informed of whats actually going on? edit: nevermind, bothered to read the FAQ and understrood the difference.. The Slashdotting was very misleading.. d: |
